Meet Mikayla!
My Background
I’ve always loved to eat. My parents still laugh about how I was first to the dinner table and the last to leave—even as a kid. Growing up, I was active in volleyball and gymnastics. I was tall, naturally lean, and muscular. At one point, I was convinced I’d become a dolphin trainer. (Spoiler: that didn’t happen.)
Looking back, it’s almost funny that I didn’t realize sooner I was meant to be a dietitian. I recently found some of my old high school journals—pages filled with detailed food logs and body weight goals. But alongside those logs were a lot of “food rules” I had created for myself. Things like:
“Butter is off limits.”
“No eating after 7 p.m.”
“It’s Anorexic April! Only apples and yogurt this month.”
“Remember, you have to fit into a leo tomorrow.”
It’s sad to think I felt the need to restrict food at such a young age. I wish I had been exposed to better nutrition education as a young athlete—both in terms of performance fueling and the body image pressures that came with sport.
Eventually, I earned my Bachelor’s in Dietetics and completed a dietetic internship that gave me a wide range of hands-on experience. I worked with clinical dietitians at an Army medical center, advised overweight soldiers in outpatient care, created cooking classes for moms receiving WIC, developed school lunch menus, and calculated the nutrition needs of premature infants in the NICU.
Each of those experiences taught me something valuable—and helped me realize what I didn’t want to do long-term. I felt the most energy and fulfillment when I was out at the park running 10-minute HIIT workouts with my diet techs on lunch breaks, swapping protein tips with my CrossFit friends, and convincing people to eat more vegetables (and actually enjoy it).
It took me years to develop a healthy relationship with food and feel confident in my own skin. That journey is exactly why I’m so passionate about helping others do the same. I love working with people to set realistic, sustainable goals for their bodies and their lifestyles—and I’m here to support them with education, accountability, and encouragement every step of the way.
The Morph Method quite literally morphed into the business it is today out of my love for food, movement, and helping people reach their potential. And yes—Morph is also a nod to my name, Mikayla Orphan. With the support of friends and family (and lots of trial and error), I built a coaching program that challenges my clients—and myself—to grow into the healthiest, strongest versions of themselves.
I’d be thrilled to work with you.

Meet Nicole!
My Background
Growing up in a family where nutrition was a priority, I developed an early appreciation for health and fitness. With a dad who was a bodybuilder, my first meal was chicken, peas, carrots, and rice—a reflection of the values instilled in me from day one and what my parents told me my idol, Bruce Lee, ate. haha! I spent 13 years immersed in dance, training in ballet, jazz, tap, modern, and hip hop, alongside four years of ice skating and countless hours playing in our home gym. These experiences laid the foundation for my lifelong passion for movement and wellness.
While I am very fortunate to have parents with a lot of knowledge about nutrition, that still came with its own challenges. We often didn’t have treats around the house and when we did, I found it very hard to have any self control. I knew how to be “on or off” with my eating, but not much in between. At 19, I embarked on a weight-loss journey through an extreme "hcg" diet, which sparked my interest in body composition and fitness. By 21, I competed in my first figure show at a bodybuilding competition and spent three years in the sport, culminating in a top-10 finish at a national-level show. While I loved the discipline and challenge of bodybuilding, I sought a more sustainable approach to training and nutrition and discovered CrossFit. Competing and coaching CrossFit for four years eventually led me to Olympic Weightlifting, which I continue to train and compete in today.
During my early CrossFit years, I experimented with countless diets but struggled to find consistency or feel comfortable and confident in my body. It wasn’t until my final semester of graduate school, while studying to become a school counselor, that I hired a coach and learned to track macros. This approach transformed my relationship with food. I realized I could eat all foods in moderation, ditch the "good" vs. "bad" mindset, and fuel both my performance and confidence. It was liberating to find balance and sustainability in my nutrition journey.
Now, as a nutrition coach, I combine my counseling expertise with my passion for health to help others build lasting habits and embrace a positive mindset. I believe that since we’ll be eating for the rest of our lives, we should find a way to enjoy food while feeling great in our bodies and having energy for all the things we love to do! My mission is to guide clients toward sustainable changes that allow them to thrive physically and mentally (and to also perform well in their sport of choice!)—because nutrition should enhance life, not complicate it.
